If you’ve not read about it now, then I’m probably too late to tell you to start. But, in case you care to read, Mashable has a good collection of articles that are easy to digest and carry weight.
Go, get informed, then don’t freak out on 1/18 when things stop working.

The Cup-workers threw a little baby shower for me at the office this week. It was really nice of everyone to pitch in and contribute to some very nice gifts. We received a nice high chair that we'll be able to use down the road and a Target gift card, which I have no doubt will go toward diapers…lots and lots of diapers.
But, the other gift card was particularly awesome because it facilitates my coffee addiction. :)
A big, big Thank You to everyone who contributed and, in particular, Meghan who went to a lot of trouble in putting together the shower, purchasing the gifts, returning another (don't ask, it's a long story :), and getting the ice cream cake! It was really, really great!
All for now.

We're having a baby!
We'll, Andrea's having the baby and I'm freaking out. ;) Today we learned we'll be having a boy. But, no, honestly, I'm really freaking out and we're very excited.
Up to this point everything is progressing very well and we could not be happier. We'll try to keep everyone as updated as possible. Oh, and if you have any advice, feel free to share. Like, how do I change a diaper….err, where are the diapers even located in the store? Do they sell them on the Internet, if so, can I buy in bulk? ;)

I've had this incompatible .NET Framework Assistant extension in my Firefox add-ons list for some time. It finally started to bug me enough that I spent some time finding out how to remove the stupid thing. Because it's a third-party installation, the answer is not elegant, but it's relatively quick. I assume you've done registry edits before. If not, don't blame me for borking your system. ;)
Windows Registry extension
Installing or updating certain software on Windows can register an extension for Firefox or Thunderbird. For example, a Windows Registry entry to install a Firefox extension can be added under one of these keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions\
The Registry entry name will be the ID name or GUID of the add-on and the value data will be the path to the folder containing the extension (see Adding Extensions using the Windows Registry – MDC for details). When Firefox or Thunderbird next starts, it will notice the entry and install the extension.
Full details can be found here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_add-ons#Global_extension

Residents of Cobblefield Point:
This letter states my intention to run for a position on the Cobblefield Point Homeowners’ Association Board.
During my first year as a member of the Board we helped correct a significant budget shortage. While some decisions were difficult and did not make everyone happy, all decisions was made with the entire Association in mind. We have attempted to provide Cobblefield Point residents with a unified direction and strong voice. The budget shortage we corrected has now turned into a small surplus, with continued oversight of expenditures and careful planning of services, I believe we can further increase the capital reserve of our Association. This will better prepare us for the challenges that lay ahead.
As I stated last year, I am proud of the condo I own and I believe we all stand to benefit from having a complex we can enjoy and be proud to call our home.
I hope that each and every resident understand the sense of responsibility they have and will join the Board with helping to make our community a better place.
Thank you,
Josh Means
